Block Science Table

After launching the Block Science Foundational sets, we started developing a table that could be a storage system and play surface for the block play set. The table can store a full Unit Block set and the largest Block Science set. Children need a lot of space to explore with this system so we wanted a to create a bridge between the table and the floor (where block play traditionally takes place in the classroom). We designed an opening through the top of the table and the side of the table where children can build ramps from the top of the table onto the floor. In order to afford children this possibility we needed to develop a piece that could set the correct angle for this specific slope.
